To update you, all has settled very quickly for us. With the stress of an extra property out of the way, both mum and I have had time to re-assess and breathe. All going well, we will be looking to buy another property in the next 12- 18 months.

As you know, I work in the service industry. There’s nothing worse than people who are all ears when there’s something in it for them, but then move on without a single glance back after the deal is done. It’s a real credit to your office that these practices are in place, and certainly encourage return business. I try to uphold this ethic for my own customers, helping wherever I can, even if there’s no sale on the end of it. It’s a top service that leads to more sales- and lucky for me, that’s the part I’m better at!

Although we would like to buy into Oxley Lodge, we are currently undergoing a refinance which is taking way longer than we envisaged to finalize ( due mostly to paperwork sitting on people’s desks!), so are not yet in the position to make an offer. By way of feedback, we understand the yield is low due to condition of this unit, but we would want to get in and renovate to improve the yield immediately , so the tenant on such a long lease is a negative for us – I’m not surprised the tenant is interested in staying as it is a beautiful location.
